Girl Scouts all over the country are united in the symbols and traditions they share. From the Promise and Law that we all recite at each meeting to the uniforms we have in common these symbols help us see ourselves as part of the sisterhood of Girl Scouts. We know that all of the Girl Scouts that came before us, some our mothers and grandmothers, shared in these traditions too and we can honor our common history with them.

For Juniors earning Step 5 of their Girl Scout Way badge…
ENJOY GIRL SCOUT TRADITIONS WITH A CHAIN STORY
Step 5 of the Junior Girl Scout Way badge is to ‘Enjoy Girl Scout Traditions”. In the badgebook we learn that “Traditions bring people together. A tradition can be a special food, a ceremony, a song- anything that’s passed along through the years.” One fun option for learning about passing along a story is to create a chain story! Take some time to enjoy these LZSU646 chain stories and add your own link in the chain by adding a few paragraphs to the story in the comments!
