Make a Lei to Share!

Supplies Needed:

• String – plastic lacing or cotton craft string (included in your kit)
• Flowers – foam flowers or fabric flowers (included in your kit)
• Spacers – small plastic tubes (included in your kit)
  • Note: If you run out of spacers, just cut up a plastic straw… it works the same!
• 1/2 in. of tape (optional)

Instructions:

1. To start your lei make a knot in one end of your string.
2. If you have cotton string in your kit you may want to wrap a small piece of tape around the open end of your string to make it easier to lace through the flowers.
3. Thread the open end of your string through a fabric flower and slide the flower all the way down the string to your knot.
4. Thread the open end of your string through a spacer and slide the flower all the way down the string to the flower.
5. Repeat steps three and four until you have used all of your spacers and flowers.
6. Tie the ends of your string together to create a lei (or even a lei bracelet!) to share with someone special.
